The Aircraft Refinisher position is in our Paint Shop department, which is located at our maintenance facility in North Bay, Ontario. This position will include working at height and may occasionally include performing work outdoors, lifting, bending, standing, crouching and/or kneeling for long periods at a time.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Treating, preparing, painting, and detailing aircraft, components, and other items in accordance with desired specifications on various surface types such as metal, glass, synthetic, or other;
Setting up and operating equipment, and using other general equipment and tools as required;
General clean-up of aircraft interior/exterior, components, and/or equipment before and after painting;
Adhering to all company policies and procedures; and
Other duties as assigned.
Completion of high school, post-secondary school, vocational, or technical training.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated.
Knowledge of the paint application process including sanding, stripping, mixing, spraying, detailing, etc.
Experience operating specialized machinery or equipment.
Related work experience in an aviation or automotive environment is considered an asset.
All candidates must possess a valid passport and be able to travel abroad unrestricted. In addition, candidates must also be eligible to work for a Canadian company.
Preference will be given to individuals with previous experience.
