We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill an available position at our facility located in North Bay, Ontario. This position requires the successful applicant to perform functions related to Voyageur's Safety & Risk Management System.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Conducting investigations of reported incidents and hazards in consultation with departmental subject matter experts to determine root cause and effective corrective actions plans.
Conducting audits to evaluate the overall effectiveness of company functions and report areas of non-compliance.
Liaising with department subject matter experts to identify and implement effective corrective action plans to areas of non-conformance.
Measuring the effectiveness of all investigated incidents, hazards and audit findings.
Ensuring audit plans, audit check-sheets, and sample plans are maintained to current policy and procedure.
Participating in occupational health and safety meetings.
Training and promoting the company's safety culture to other employees.
Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Completion of post-secondary school, and/or some post-secondary, vocational, or technical training. Related work experience is considered an asset.
Familiarity with aviation flight and/or maintenance operations.
Knowledge of safety management system requirements, investigation and root cause analysis, and auditing methods.
Training or related work experience in the field of occupational safety and health.
Excellent keyboarding skills with a demonstrated proficiency of various software products.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality, impartiality, and integrity.
All candidates must possess a valid passport and be able to travel abroad unrestricted. In addition, candidates must also be eligible to work for a Canadian company.
